I haven't done two cakes in one day in a long time! After finishing this cake I was TIRED! I left the kitchen a mess and went and had a nice nap! :)
The instructions for this cake was red velvet, Happy Birthday Gaelen, and film themed as she's studying film at Ryerson.
This was an 8" 2 layer red velvet with buttercream filling. I had fun with the decorations, making the film reel for the top. Don't look too closely at the circle cut outs. They are a little wonky! There was a gap between the reel and the film strip so I dyed the left over icing red and piped on a border to cover the gap.
