Bunny Bait

This is a very quick and yummy treat!  I saw this on Bake At 350 's blog.  When I read that her number one tip for making it was to get it out of the house because it's so good I had to try it. My adapted recipe: 2 packages Orville Redenbacher's Gourmet White Corn popcorn 10oz white chocolate candy melts (Bulk Barn) 3/4 cup spring M&Ms (Bulk Barn) handful of confetti sprinkles (Bulk Barn) I spread the mixture on two trays lined with wax paper and put them in the fridge for 10 minutes to make sure that the chocolate set.  Then I put about 3oz into each bag.  Makes 7 3oz bags.

Rubik's Cube Cake

Yesterday we had Easter dinner at my parents' house with my dad's family.  We were also celebrating my cousin Josh's birthday.  So, of course, a reason to make a cake.  :) I got the idea for the cake from browsing through the different cakes from Google.  It took about an hour to dye and cut out all the squares.  You need 45 squares, 8 of each of the 6 colours (with 3 left over).  The red was really a pain to dye, always is and my hands looked like a bloody massacre had taken place when I was done.  Of course when I was all done then I found my pre-dyed red fondant.  Oops! This was my first time doing a 3 tiered cake.  Completely forgot about the need for using dowels and a platform so the bottom layer got a little squished from the weight after a while.  But not too bad thankfully. Harley Davidson Flamin' Cake

I was asked to make this cake oh about a couple of weeks ago, so I had plenty of time to get myself ready for the cake.  But of course the classic procrastinator that I am left everything until the night before.  At least I made sure nothing needed to cure for more than a few hours.  I've been caught with needing something to "refrigerate overnight" with only a few hours to spare.  Fortunately, everything fell into place.  I even went to bed at a decent hour and got up fairly early and was ready to go on time.  As I'm leaving to meet up at the drop off spot I thought that I really should have swapped cell numbers, but I knew where I was going.  So after about an hour and a bit after the appointed time I finally tracked down the cell number and realised that I had no clue where I was.  *sigh* Thankfully I got the cake delivered and in one piece.  Hopefully it was worth the wait! I really did enjoy making this cake.  The request was a Har...
